Research at the University Museum of Islamic Art
From 8th to 11th January Dr Roberta Giunta from the University of Naples visited the University Museum. Accompanied by her colleague architect Carlotta Passaro she documented and studied a row of stone objects from the Ghazni area.
Dr Giunta is an acknowledged expert in the Islamic archaeology of Central Asia, working for several years in Italian excavations in Afghanistan and Pakistan. We are happy that her expertise will add to the knowledge and development of the Bumiller Collection.
